About Us
Artist Alley Shop is a retail space where independent artists showcase and sell their creations. After establishing ourselves in Montréal, we’re opening a new location in downtown Toronto on Yonge Street.
Role Overview
We’re looking for part-time staff to help run the daily operations of our Toronto store. You’ll be supporting artists, welcoming customers, and making sure the shop always feels organized and inviting. This role is perfect for someone who loves the artist alley community and wants to be part of a creative, supportive environment.
Who We’re Looking For
We want candidates who already know our business and are genuinely passionate about the artist alley field. If you love anime, manga, conventions, and the independent artist scene, you’ll feel right at home here.
Responsibilities
Greet and assist customers in a friendly way
Handle sales at the register using our POS system
Help maintain artist displays and keep the store organized
Restock products and artist merchandise as needed
Support with cleaning duties to keep the space welcoming
Assist with store opening and closing routines
Support social media content and occasional store events
Qualifications
Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset but not required
Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
Reliability and ability to work independently when needed
Passion for creative communities or independent artists
Being an artist is a plus
Speaking Mandarin and/or French is a plus
